Password Unlocking BIOS Password Unlock for a LA-H171P Rev1.0

Hi there.

My friends daughter fried her laptops motherboard by spilling coke on it. I've gotten hold of a new motherboard but the BIOS has been locked and it would be great to unlock it (such that the laptop can be used again).

What do I need to send you, apart from some money, in order to unlock this motherboard? (If it's a serial number, I'll need to know which number off the motherboard you require.)

What chip is the bios chip? I've been unable to identify it so far.

Also, I have the old motherboard, would swapping the BIOS chip once identified be an option?
