This application is used to update several Acer laptop details, such as the asset tag, UUID, manufacturer, model name, and serial number.


Run the dmitools.exe file. These messages demonstrate the use of dmitools:

DMITOOLS [/WU | /WS | /R | /WP | ] [ LITTLE]



/r/dmitools ==> Read the bios' DMI string.

==> dmitools /wm xxxx Add the maker's name to the eeprom.

==> dmitools /wp xxxx Put the product name in the eeprom.

==> dmitools /ws xxxx Put the eeprom's serial number in.

==> dmitools /wu xxxx Put uuid in the eeprom.

Dmitools /wa xxxx ==> Send eeprom's asset tag

Important: In order for the write examples (2 to 5) to work, the system must be rebooted.
