About this board

This thread is for the ThinkPad P1 Gen 6 (Type 21FV 21FW) with main board 223027-2.

Lenovo had this board built by Wistron; Wistron board numbers are 5–6 digits plus a revision. Check the number printed on the PCB before you download.

What this thread covers
  • BIOS (full SPI chip dump, .bin)

Usually needed when the laptop powers on with a black screen after a BIOS update, is stuck in a boot loop, or is locked with a BIOS password.

Before flashing, always read and save the original chip. It holds the serial number, UUID, MAC address and ME data for that exact machine.

Hello,
I have a P1 Gen 6 (Type 21FV, 21FW) Laptop (ThinkPad) - Type 21FW model device. I cannot access the supervisor password and I cannot change any settings on my device. How can I fix this? I have the CH341A Mini Programmer. If I use it, will it provide a solution?
